Me, Jon, Francisco, and a student, Bill, all went out to wine bottle today for what would be my first time to climb. It was only around 40 °F and raining on and off, so my hands had a tough time
adjusting at first. Jon was our lead climber, and since there were 2 inexperienced climbers, we only had time to get in 2 lines for the day. Here are a few pictures...you'll probably need to click to enlarge them so that you can see the climber.

These first 3 are of Jon setting the line for the 5.8.

dude that is freaking awesome? how was it? tell us more. i love that picture of bill side view with the peak in the background.
ReplyDeletehow long did it take to get to the top?
dude that is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
hey tony!! very cool...don't think for a minute that ryan will be participating in any of this when he comes to visit!
ReplyDeletelove you-randi
it took me and bill a pretty good while to make it to the top, Fran and Jon- about 20 minutes or less, depending on the height of the line. the 5.8 was around 22 meters and the 5.10B was around 27 meters...and randi, i know ryan won't be participating, how can he. you have to actually come to china to do it.
ReplyDeleteHi Ton, I liked all the pictures especially the one with your feet on the ground. I know you had fun. I agree with you Randi. We are going to have to have a talk with "our boys"
ReplyDeleteBy the way - it was so much fun talking to you the other night. Hope we can do it again soon.
I love you Ton
Enjoy yourself.
